Elected parent representatives (représentants de parents d'élèves)

Elected parent representatives play an institutional role in the service of all families:

  • Represent parents with the teaching team and the school's governing bodies
  • Listen to families and collect their questions
  • Bring ideas and concerns to the school's governing body (conseil d'école)
  • Take part in decisions about school life

They sit on the school's governing body, which meets several times a year with the school's leadership and teachers.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a member to contact the association? No. You can write to us at any time, whether you are a member or not.

Can I help out on a one-off basis, without any commitment? Yes. Everyone gets involved at their own pace: lending a hand for an event, sharing an idea, or simply passing on information.

Can I write without giving my name? Yes, the contact form lets you send a message without leaving your contact details. You will not receive a reply in that case.

Is the association the same as the elected representatives? No. The association organises events, activities, fundraising and community support. The elected representatives fulfil the institutional role: school governing body meetings, discussions with the school's leadership, relations with the local council (mairie). The same person can take on both roles, but they are two different roles.

How much does membership cost? €5 per member per year.

Where can I join? On HelloAsso, via the "Join us" button on the website.
